This is a continuation of the ideas from my last video. In part 2 this week, we examine objective and subjective beauty through a discussion of Shakespeare, geometry, and personal taste. Moving towards part 3, we’re getting deeper into the idea of a universal, objective beauty.
Ian, I have always heard that math and music and art were intertwined, but I was horrible at geometry! Maybe I need to go back and learn it, maybe I am not horrible at it! Maybe they are all the same thing looked at from a different perspective. Anyway I find your ideas very interesting. Thank you for sharing them.
Thank you for articulating how I understood the concept of art and beauty, and for challenging my mind to make new connections.
